Responsibilities

• Safely operate and drive a heavy or tractor-trailer truck through various terrains and weather conditions.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is secured properly to prevent damage.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle service, and cargo information.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and follow all company protocols.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
• Assist in the training of new drivers as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a truck driver; previous experience with logistics companies is a plus.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the trucking industry.
• Ability to operate a variety of vehicles, including those with manual transmissions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads as required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
