Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of internship programs that align with student career goals.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to identify internship opportunities and facilitate student placements.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with organizations and businesses to expand internship offerings.
  • Develop resources and training workshops for students to enhance their internship readiness and professional skills.
  • Monitor and evaluate the success of internship programs, collecting feedback from students and employers to improve future offerings.
  • Assist in the promotion and awareness of internship opportunities through presentations, informational sessions, and marketing materials.
  • Provide one-on-one career counseling to students seeking internships, including resume reviews and interview preparation.
  • Manage the internship database and ensure all relevant information is up to date and accessible to students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in career services, student development, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of internship programs and employer expectations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using software for managing internship placements and tracking student progress.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
