Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning and execution of the RAGBRAI ride operations to ensure a seamless experience for participants.
- Coordinate logistics, including route planning, accommodations, and support services for riders.
- Engage with local communities and businesses to foster partnerships and secure necessary resources.
- Manage communication with stakeholders, including riders, volunteers, and local authorities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards throughout the event.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote RAGBRAI participation and enhance visibility.
- Collect and analyze feedback from participants to improve future events.
- Work collaboratively with the media team to create compelling content that informs and excites the audience about RAGBRAI.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Event Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in event planning or operations, preferably in the sports or outdoor industry.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during the event period.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for planning and marketing purposes.
- Passion for cycling and community engagement is a plus.
