Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust back-end systems using PHP and Python.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring security and data protection.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices and coding standards.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing applications, making necessary updates to improve performance.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality software and mentor junior developers.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance the platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Back-end Engineer, with a strong focus on PHP and Python programming.
• Familiarity with web frameworks such as Laravel, Django, or similar.
• Experience with relational databases, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in the pet care or wellness industry is a plus but not required.
