Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all safety protocols within the distribution facility to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Develop and implement safety training programs for all employees, emphasizing best practices and emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports and recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation, ensuring all incidents are logged and addressed promptly.
• Coordinate with external safety agencies and consultants to remain current on safety trends and regulations.
• Assist in the development of the facility's emergency response plan, ensuring all staff are trained and familiar with procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety management within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards applicable to distribution centers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
• Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar are preferred.
