Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of Impunity Watch in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategies.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage and mentor local teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders, including local authorities, community leaders, and international partners, to support program initiatives.
• Monitor and evaluate operational performance, providing regular reports to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as organizational policies.
• Facilitate training and capacity-building initiatives for local staff and partners.
• Identify potential risks and challenges in operations and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the non-profit or humanitarian sector.
• Strong understanding of the socio-political landscape of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
• Proven ability to lead and manage diverse teams in challenging environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or local languages is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
• Willingness to travel within the DRC as required.
