Responsibilities
- Administer and supervise the global Quality Management System in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025.
- Oversee the monitoring and adherence to Minerals Technical Governance Global policies and procedures across all Mineral Geochemistry laboratories.
- Support Trade laboratories as required, ensuring consistency in quality practices.
- Promote laboratory best practices and instill a culture of continuous improvement within the laboratory network.
- Lead and direct a small virtual team of Quality and Continuous Improvement specialists.
- Design and implement systems and tools for data acceptance and quality assurance.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training and guidance to laboratory personnel on quality standards and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Chemistry, Biology, or Quality Management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a laboratory environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 standards and laboratory best practices.
- Experience in leading quality improvement initiatives and teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a virtual team setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel as needed to support various laboratory locations.
