Responsibilities

• Administer and supervise the global Quality Management System in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025.
• Oversee the monitoring and adherence to Minerals Technical Governance Global policies and procedures across all Mineral Geochemistry laboratories.
• Support Trade laboratories as required, ensuring consistency in quality practices.
• Promote laboratory best practices and instill a culture of continuous improvement within the laboratory network.
• Lead and direct a small virtual team of Quality and Continuous Improvement specialists.
• Design and implement systems and tools for data acceptance and quality assurance.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide training and guidance to laboratory personnel on quality standards and practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Chemistry, Biology, or Quality Management.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a laboratory environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 standards and laboratory best practices.
• Experience in leading quality improvement initiatives and teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a virtual team setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel as needed to support various laboratory locations.
