Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to veterans and their families.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health management and wellness practices.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and training programs.
• Support and guide junior nursing staff and nursing students.
• Engage in community outreach to promote health services available to veterans.

Requirements

• Active nursing license in the state of Tennessee.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; associate degree acceptable.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Compassionate approach to patient care and understanding of veteran health issues.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
• CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
