Director of Engineering for Product and Delivery Optimization

Responsibilities

• Lead the Leverage Engineering Pod to enhance delivery capacity across Product and Engineering divisions.
• Oversee strategic planning and execution of initiatives across three key squads: Foundations Engineering, Builder Experience, and Modernization.
• Collaborate with product teams to ensure alignment on engineering goals and delivery timelines.
• Drive improvements in the Product Development Lifecycle, focusing on innovative solutions and leveraging AI-assisted development.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence within the Engineering team.
• Monitor industry trends and incorporate best practices to ensure our engineering practices remain cutting-edge.
• Manage cross-functional teams and facilitate effective communication between engineering and product stakeholders.
• Develop and mentor engineering leaders to cultivate talent and enhance team performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within software engineering, preferably in a SaaS environment.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycle management.
• Exceptional project management skills with a track record of delivering complex software projects on time.
• Ability to innovate and drive change while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams.
• Experience with AI and modern development tools is a plus.
