Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, and industrial communication protocols including Ethernet and DeviceNet.
- Identify and report design, reliability, and maintenance issues or software bugs to design and software engineering teams for effective root-cause analysis and corrective action.
- Provide network and integration support by assisting with control system networking issues, configuring communication devices, and integrating control hardware with enterprise systems.
- Develop and maintain troubleshooting tools and guided diagnostics to enhance the efficiency of the diagnostic infrastructure.
- Create telemetry-sourced health monitoring dashboards and data-driven predictive maintenance models to transition fleet service from reactive to condition-based.
- Act as the escalation point for complex controls failures across Field Engineering and customer teams, serving as the technical authority for unresolved support issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operation and maintenance of diagnostic systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in control systems engineering, with a focus on PLC programming and SCADA systems.
- Proficient in industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet and DeviceNet.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience with data analysis and predictive maintenance techniques is a plus.
