Responsibilities

• Assist in various projects across different departments within the USDA.
• Conduct research and analysis to support ongoing initiatives.
• Participate in meetings and contribute to discussions on public service strategies.
• Compile and present findings in reports or presentations for stakeholders.
• Gain hands-on experience in policy development and program implementation.
• Network with professionals and other interns to share ideas and experiences.
• Engage in community outreach activities to promote USDA programs.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program related to public service, agriculture, environmental science, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data analysis software is a plus.
• Demonstrated interest in public service and commitment to community engagement.
• Must be available for the duration of the internship program from January to May 2027.
