Position Overview
The Senior Network Engineer (Load Balancing) is responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-grade load balancing and traffic management solutions across both on-premises and cloud environments. This role is essential in ensuring application availability, performance, and scalability. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with L4–L7 technologies and a performance-first mindset, capable of operating in complex, mission-critical environments. This position also demands a blend of deep technical expertise and business acumen to align technology strategies with organizational goals and deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer, deploy, and manage load balancing solutions (L4–L7) to support high-availability applications and services.
- Design and implement traffic management strategies, including SSL offload, content switching, Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB), and application acceleration.
- Configure and support platforms such as F5 BIG-IP (LTM/GTM), Citrix ADC (NetScaler), A10, or cloud-native load balancers.
- Optimize application performance through tuning of persistence profiles, health checks, and load balancing algorithms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of load balancing solutions with existing infrastructure.
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, ensuring minimal downtime and swift recovery.
- Stay current with industry trends and new technologies in network engineering and load balancing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on load balancing technologies.
- Strong knowledge of L4-L7 protocols and load balancing algorithms.
- Proven experience with F5 BIG-IP, Citrix ADC, A10, or similar platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
