Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the central data platform, overseeing all aspects from raw event ingestion to processing, aggregation, and reporting.
• Lead the transition from migration to long-term production operation, focusing on optimization and continuous evolution of the platform.
• Define and implement strategies for enhancing observability and improving data quality across the platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of services and features.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in best practices and innovative approaches to data handling and processing.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend platform enhancements and innovations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in data engineering, particularly within cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Go, with a deep understanding of data processing frameworks.
• Proven experience in database management, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
