Responsibilities
- Support privacy and security incident response involving personal data, including triage, containment, root cause analysis, and remediation tracking.
- Assess incident scope and severity by identifying affected systems, data categories, impacted data subjects, logs, APIs, databases, and exposure vectors.
- Review privacy, security, and data governance documentation, including incident response playbooks, technical procedures, and access control materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Security, Engineering, Product, Legal, and Compliance, to ensure effective incident handling.
- Monitor and analyze potential privacy risks and vulnerabilities, providing actionable insights for remediation.
- Prepare reports and presentations on privacy-related issues for stakeholders.
- Stay updated on privacy regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and enhance organizational policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Information Technology, Law, or Business.
- Proven experience in privacy, compliance, or data protection roles, preferably in the fintech industry.
- Strong communication skills to effectively translate technical findings into privacy, regulatory, and business risks.
- Ability to support incident handling activities, including impact assessment, evidence gathering, containment follow-up, and remediation tracking.
- Knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and best practices in data governance.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to assess complex systems and identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Proficiency in using security and compliance tools to monitor and manage privacy incidents.
