Responsibilities
- Create invoices and financial reports for sponsored projects, ensuring compliance with sponsor guidelines and deadlines.
- Review transactions, account balances, and accompanying documentation to identify discrepancies and implement necessary corrections.
- Maintain accurate and current grant and financial information in relevant systems.
- Communicate with sponsors regarding unpaid invoices, providing assistance to address any billing or payment issues.
- Collect and prepare supporting documentation for sponsor inquiries, audits, and project closeouts.
- Organize financial records and documentation to ensure easy access and clarity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a research or academic setting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation and reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with sponsors and internal teams.
