Position Summary
The Research Analyst II plays a crucial role in supporting the university's strategic planning and decision-making processes by conducting independent research and advanced data analysis. This position reports to the Assistant Vice Provost and Director of Data Analysis and Reporting, and it involves developing and executing both quantitative and qualitative research projects. Responsibilities include forecasting and trend analyses related to student and institutional data, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights through statistical methods.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis to support institutional effectiveness and strategic initiatives.
- Design and implement research studies, including surveys and statistical analyses.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify data needs and provide relevant insights.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Utilize advanced statistical software and tools to analyze data.
- Stay current with best practices in data analysis and research methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in research analysis or a related role.
- Strong proficiency in statistical software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
