Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks in a medical office environment.
- Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with regulations.
- Process medical billing and coding for insurance claims and patient accounts.

- Schedule appointments and maintain the provider's calendar efficiently.
- Prepare and submit insurance claims, following up on unpaid claims with insurance companies.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient care and administrative tasks.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the privacy of patient information.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in medical administration or related field preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Administrative Assistant or equivalent certification in medical billing and coding.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, billing procedures, and coding systems.
- Proficient in using EHR systems and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is a plus.
