Responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with U.S. Government agencies to foster collaboration and innovation.
• Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support research and development initiatives aligned with government objectives.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align Ginkgo's capabilities with government needs in therapeutics, diagnostics, and medical countermeasures.
• Lead proposals and presentations to government stakeholders, effectively communicating Ginkgo's value propositions.
• Stay informed on government policies, regulations, and funding landscapes to ensure compliance and maximize opportunities.
• Represent Ginkgo at industry conferences and government-related events to enhance visibility and foster relationships.
• Mentor and guide team members to enhance their skills in government partnership development and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development or partnership management, preferably within the biotech or life sciences sectors.
• Strong understanding of U.S. Government operations, including federal funding mechanisms and regulatory processes.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials and agencies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex scientific concepts clearly.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
• Passion for driving innovation and collaboration in the biotech space.
