Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Town Manager, including managing schedules, organizing meetings, and preparing reports.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, contracts, and grant applications.
- Draft and edit correspondence, presentations, and other documents as required.
- Coordinate special projects and initiatives as directed by the Town Manager.
- Maintain organized files and records, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Research and compile data for reports and presentations, contributing to informed decision-making.
- Participate in relevant meetings and take minutes, summarizing key points and action items.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an executive assistant or in a similar administrative role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Familiarity with local government operations is a plus.
