Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs and backend components that facilitate payment processing for thousands of merchants and millions of consumers.
• Ensure high standards of quality, security, and performance across all software solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing to elevate overall code quality.
• Continuously improve the software development process by implementing best practices and new technologies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues to ensure the reliability and stability of services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer, preferably in a payment processing or fintech environment.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with API design and development, particularly RESTful services.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
