Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced Wide Area Network (WAN) solutions.
- Analyze complex engineering problems and develop innovative solutions to address them.
- Translate operational and cybersecurity requirements into actionable work packages for classified and unclassified environments.
- Collaborate closely with the SAIC mission team to ensure alignment with project goals and deliverables.
- Create and deliver high-level (HLD) and low-level (LLD) design documentation, including design-review packages and diagrams.
- Provide technical engineering support and guidance to the SAIC Chief Engineer and other stakeholders.
- Develop bills of material as requested for various projects.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in network engineering and cybersecurity trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in network design engineering, particularly in WAN environments.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, WAN technologies, and cybersecurity principles.
- Proven ability to solve complex engineering challenges efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in classified environments is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, while also being capable of working independently.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
