Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and development of scalable cloud solutions and ensure they meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance in a live environment, ensuring reliability and uptime.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating innovative solutions to improve system efficiency.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Participate in incident response and troubleshooting of issues within the application ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Application Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, along with experience in microservices architecture.
  • Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in higher education or understanding of its unique challenges is a plus.
