Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal and regulatory advisor to the CEO of APAC and global leadership teams.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to support business objectives, including market entry and expansion initiatives.
• Navigate complex regulatory environments and ensure compliance with local and international laws affecting digital assets and payments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risks and opportunities related to product launches and partnerships.
• Engage with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders to advocate for favorable policies and standards.
• Monitor emerging trends and regulatory changes in the digital asset landscape and provide actionable insights to the leadership team.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to safeguard the company’s interests.
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on compliance matters and best practices.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in legal and regulatory affairs, preferably in the fintech or digital assets sector.
• In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations governing digital currencies, payments, and financial services in the APAC region.
• Proven track record of advising senior executives on complex legal issues and influencing business decisions.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
