Responsibilities

• Design and implement the foundational platform that supports all Fieldguide products.
• Develop core platform services and tools aimed at enhancing speed, safety, and consistency.
• Act as a technical leader, setting standards and reducing complexity for engineering teams.
• Collaborate with product, AI, and infrastructure engineers to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
• Optimize platform performance to meet the needs of our largest enterprise clients.
• Continuously assess and improve systems to maintain high reliability and availability.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a software engineer, with a focus on platform or infrastructure development.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with software development best practices, including Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote-first environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively lead and mentor cross-functional teams.
