Responsibilities

• Conduct independent utilization reviews for radiological cases.
• Evaluate medical necessity based on established guidelines and protocols.
• Provide expert opinions and recommendations based on clinical findings.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of patient information.
• Document findings comprehensively and accurately in the required format.
• Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated with best practices.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree with board certification in Radiology.
• Valid medical license in Washington D.C. or Maryland.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex medical data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Experience in utilization review or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records and other digital tools.
