Responsibilities
- Accurately code and abstract clinical information from medical records for Tenet facilities.
- Maintain coding data quality and integrity, ensuring adherence to established productivity guidelines.
- Assist in quality chart reviews to enhance coding accuracy.
- Participate in coding education and training for new Corporate Coders.
- Utilize coding skills to review flagged cases in CARDS and RevInt.
- Support coding quality audits and second-level reviews as required.
- Collaborate with other team members on projects that enhance coding efficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1-3 years of experience in inpatient coding is necessary.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite is essential.
- Strong background in electronic medical records and coding standards.
- Completion of at least one AHIMA certification is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining coding integrity.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
