Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations for jewellery, including tariff regimes and duty rules.
• Collaborate with logistics and operational teams to facilitate smooth customs clearance processes.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customs brokers and other regulatory bodies.
• Monitor changes in trade compliance regulations and adapt internal policies accordingly.
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on compliance issues related to shipping and importing jewellery.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential compliance issues.
• Prepare and submit necessary documentation for customs and trade compliance.
• Support the fulfilment team in resolving customs-related inquiries and issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in law, international business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in trade compliance, preferably within the jewellery or luxury goods sectors.
• Strong understanding of customs regulations, tariffs, and duties as they pertain to cross-border trade.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Proficient in using compliance management software and MS Office Suite.
