About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on leveraging artificial intelligence to solve complex operational challenges in frontline businesses. As a key member of a two-person ML team, you will be instrumental in developing a forecasting system that makes half-hourly demand predictions across diverse targets for multiple restaurants.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models to analyze large datasets and deliver accurate demand forecasts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand operational requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Optimize existing algorithms and workflows to enhance performance and scalability.
• Conduct experiments to evaluate model performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
• Stay current with the latest developments in machine learning and AI technologies, and identify opportunities for innovation.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Proven experience in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with data processing tools and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
