Responsibilities
- Drive collaboration on technical direction for complex, cross-cutting systems including data modeling, API design, clinical workflow architecture, and integration patterns.
- Scope and shape work end-to-end: from identifying the right problem to solving it, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.
- Elevate the engineering team's standards by implementing best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation.
- Lead architectural discussions and decision-making processes to ensure the robustness and scalability of our applications.
- Mentor and guide junior developers to enhance their skills and contribute effectively to projects.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies that can improve our development processes and enhance our product offerings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and ensure that technical solutions meet business needs.
- Participate actively in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on Ruby on Rails.
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Stimulus and React).
- Experience with Turbo, Tailwind, and ViewComponent for developing user interfaces.
- Familiarity with Typescript and best practices for using JavaScript.
- Experience with mobile application development, especially using Hotwire Native.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
