Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data marts, materialized views, and data pipelines within an AWS-hosted Data Lake environment.
- Design, build, and optimize data workflows and pipelines to support agency-wide analytics and reporting.
- Monitor data infrastructure health, troubleshooting performance bottlenecks and data quality issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and agency stakeholders to scale and support new data-driven initiatives.
- Support compliance with federal data security requirements including FISMA and NIST 800-53.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in data engineering principles and best practices.
- Experience with AWS services, particularly those related to data lakes and analytics.
- Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and database management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
