Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data marts, materialized views, and data pipelines within an AWS-hosted Data Lake environment.
• Design, build, and optimize data workflows and pipelines to support agency-wide analytics and reporting.
• Monitor data infrastructure health, troubleshooting performance bottlenecks and data quality issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and agency stakeholders to scale and support new data-driven initiatives.
• Support compliance with federal data security requirements including FISMA and NIST 800-53.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in data engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience with AWS services, particularly those related to data lakes and analytics.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and database management systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
