Responsibilities

- Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract diverse and qualified candidates.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including city council members and community organizations, to gather insights and feedback on candidate profiles.
- Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications and fit for the role.
- Prepare and present candidate recommendations to the city council and facilitate discussions to reach a consensus.
- Manage all communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Maintain and update recruitment metrics and reports to track progress and effectiveness of recruiting efforts.
- Stay informed about best practices in recruitment and human resources to continuously improve recruitment strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in recruitment, particularly for senior leadership positions.
- Strong understanding of public sector recruitment processes and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with recruitment technology and software is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills to assess candidates' qualifications and make data-driven decisions.
