Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive privacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify privacy risks and recommend appropriate mitigations.
  • Lead privacy impact assessments and ensure that new projects and initiatives align with privacy best practices.
  • Monitor changes in privacy regulations and evaluate their impact on the organization.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on privacy-related matters to foster a culture of compliance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for privacy inquiries and concerns from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and the board regarding privacy program status and compliance efforts.
  • Engage with external auditors and regulatory bodies during compliance reviews and assessments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in law, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in privacy, compliance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and others.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing privacy programs and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications related to privacy (such as CIPP, CIPM) are a plus.
