Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive privacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify privacy risks and recommend appropriate mitigations.
- Lead privacy impact assessments and ensure that new projects and initiatives align with privacy best practices.
- Monitor changes in privacy regulations and evaluate their impact on the organization.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on privacy-related matters to foster a culture of compliance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for privacy inquiries and concerns from internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and the board regarding privacy program status and compliance efforts.
- Engage with external auditors and regulatory bodies during compliance reviews and assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in privacy, compliance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and others.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing privacy programs and frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications related to privacy (such as CIPP, CIPM) are a plus.
