Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to advocate for fair immigration policies.
- Engage with community members, stakeholders, and local organizations to promote awareness and understanding of immigration issues.
- Conduct research and analysis on immigration laws and regulations to inform advocacy efforts.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to community groups, policymakers, and other stakeholders regarding immigration policy impacts.
- Collaborate with legal teams to provide resources and support for immigrants facing legal challenges.
- Monitor legislative developments and communicate relevant changes to the community and organization.
- Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and forums to further immigration advocacy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Political Science, Social Work, or Public Policy.
- At least 3 years of experience in advocacy, community organizing, or policy development.
- Strong understanding of immigration issues and policies in the United States.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
