Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to advocate for fair immigration policies.
• Engage with community members, stakeholders, and local organizations to promote awareness and understanding of immigration issues.
• Conduct research and analysis on immigration laws and regulations to inform advocacy efforts.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to community groups, policymakers, and other stakeholders regarding immigration policy impacts.
• Collaborate with legal teams to provide resources and support for immigrants facing legal challenges.
• Monitor legislative developments and communicate relevant changes to the community and organization.
• Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and forums to further immigration advocacy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Political Science, Social Work, or Public Policy.
• At least 3 years of experience in advocacy, community organizing, or policy development.
• Strong understanding of immigration issues and policies in the United States.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
