About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Security Engineer to join our dynamic security team. In this pivotal role, you will take charge of the tooling, automation, and processes that ensure the security of our applications throughout their lifecycle. You will create systems that make security an integral part of the development process, allowing developers to focus on building while ensuring security is inherently maintained.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance the vulnerability management program with a strong emphasis on application security, including container images, dependencies, code scanning, and runtime detection.
• Develop and maintain security tools that seamlessly integrate into CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows, facilitating automatic security measures rather than acting as a barrier.
• Leverage AI to expedite code writing, automate analyses that typically require manual examination, and create intelligent tools that extend the capabilities of our small team.
• Evaluate and refine our use of telemetry across our systems to enhance security posture.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to promote secure coding practices and influence secure development methodologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Security Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on application security.
• Deep understanding of security principles and best practices, including vulnerability management and secure coding.
• Experience with CI/CD processes and tools, including integration of security practices.
• Proficiency in programming languages relevant to security tooling and automation.
• Familiarity with AI and its application in security engineering.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
