About the Role

The Senior AI Data Engineer is a pivotal member of our AI team, responsible for shaping and advancing the reliable data infrastructure that supports our AI-driven products and services. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design and develop Scorpion's unified analytical data layer, ensuring our AI technologies operate on a solid foundation of accurate and timely data.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable data pipelines and architectures to support analytics and AI applications.
• Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Continuously optimize data processes for performance and efficiency, ensuring data quality and accessibility.
• Build and maintain data models and structures to support robust analytics and reporting capabilities.
• Develop and enforce best practices for data management, security, and governance.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in AI and data engineering, applying relevant innovations to improve our systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role, preferably with a focus on AI and machine learning.
• Proficient in SQL and experience with various data storage solutions such as relational databases, NoSQL databases, and data lakes.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Hadoop.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, with experience in data engineering services.
