Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand their data requirements and deliver customized solutions that leverage the full capabilities of Postgres.
• Provide expert guidance on database architecture, performance tuning, and data migration strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and drive client success in their data initiatives.
• Lead workshops and training sessions to educate clients on PostgreSQL features and functionalities.
• Assist in the development of technical documentation and support materials to enhance client engagement.
• Actively participate in troubleshooting and resolving client issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and process improvement initiatives within the Professional Services team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience for Consultant level; 5-8+ years of DBA or data engineering experience for Senior Consultant level.
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and its ecosystem; experience with other database systems is a plus.
• Proficient in performance tuning, backup/recovery strategies, and data modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel as required to meet client needs.
