Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate GMSLAs and associated trading and collateral documents.
• Provide legal and commercial support to front office and operations in the context of securities lending.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, and external counsel to ensure all documents comply with regulatory and internal standards.
• Assist in maintaining template agreements and playbooks to enhance consistency and speed during negotiations.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in GMSLA negotiation and documentation, whether as a qualified or non-qualified negotiator.
• Strong understanding of securities lending and collateral/margin mechanics.
• A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in GMSLA, or equivalent experience as a highly experienced GMSLA negotiator is also acceptable.
• Excellent communication skills and a confident negotiation style, capable of working effectively with trading and operations teams in a fast-paced environment.
