About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to enhance software quality across our engineering organization. This role focuses on improving automation, testing platforms, and quality standards, with an emphasis on enabling teams to take ownership of quality. The ideal candidate will not be involved in feature testing but will concentrate on building scalable quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust test automation frameworks.
• Develop reusable testing tools and libraries to enhance testing efficiency.
• Improve test reliability and minimize flaky tests.
• Manage test data and maintain the testing infrastructure.
• Integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines to streamline development.
• Implement release quality gates to ensure only high-quality products are delivered.
• Enhance deployment confidence by improving testing efficiency.
• Define testing strategies and best practices to guide engineering teams.
• Support teams in overcoming complex testing challenges.
• Review solutions from a quality and reliability perspective, ensuring adherence to standards.
• Coach engineers on best practices for testing and quality ownership.
• Create documentation, standards, and guidelines for testing processes.
• Drive the adoption of quality practices across multiple teams.
• Analyze incidents thoroughly to prevent regressions in quality.
• Track quality metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools including AWS, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of web testing frameworks, particularly Playwright.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
