About the Role

As we expand our presence across African markets, we are seeking a Performance Marketing Lead to be the strategic architect of our regional growth engine. This is a senior leadership position that entails full ownership of the performance marketing strategy throughout the continent. You will be responsible for setting the vision, establishing frameworks, and driving growth across various media channels with a strong emphasis on performance. You will act as a key voice in shaping marketing direction, partnering closely with executive and cross-functional leadership to align media investments with business priorities in one of the world's most dynamic and high-potential growth regions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the regional growth strategy by defining the overarching marketing vision for African markets, including market prioritization, channel philosophy, investment allocation, and a long-term scaling roadmap.
  • Shape brand presence at scale by collaborating on strategic brand-building initiatives, including above-the-line, out-of-home (OOH), and large-scale media partnerships, ensuring a coherent identity across both performance and brand channels that drives long-term recognition and trust in key markets.
  • Develop and execute performance marketing campaigns that leverage data-driven insights to maximize ROI across all digital and traditional media channels.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve optimal results and profitability.
  • Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, and analytics, to ensure alignment and synergy across all marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in performance marketing, particularly in the African market.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, analytics, and metrics.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience in managing and mentoring teams.
