Responsibilities

• Conduct testing on various medical diagnostic equipment including mammographic, radiographic, and ultrasound devices.
• Perform radiation shielding surveys to determine the appropriate lead thickness for safety measures.
• Evaluate lead content in personal protective equipment, such as lead aprons, ensuring compliance for medical staff.
• Provide consulting services on radiation safety, including conducting quarterly audits and participating in radiation safety committee meetings.
• Travel independently to different client locations to offer on-site support and address any radiation-related inquiries from healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Medical Physics or a related field.
• Certification by the American Board of Radiology or equivalent.
• Proven experience in medical health physics or a similar role.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with healthcare teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Willingness to travel to various client sites as required.
