Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare and present financial statements and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in annual audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant.
  • Mentor and train accounting staff, fostering professional development and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
