Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare and present financial statements and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist in annual audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant.
- Mentor and train accounting staff, fostering professional development and growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
