Responsibilities

  • Assist in legal research and analysis related to civilian protection in conflict zones.
  • Support the development of policy recommendations to enhance civilian safety and security.
  • Contribute to drafting reports, briefs, and other documents for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with various stakeholders, including government entities, NGOs, and community organizations.
  • Participate in meetings and represent the organization in discussions pertinent to civilian issues.
  • Help organize events, workshops, and seminars to promote awareness on civilian protection matters.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal frameworks and policies affecting civilians in conflict.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Law, International Relations, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of international humanitarian law and human rights principles.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Experience in advocacy, legal work, or policy research is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with legal research tools.
  • Must be able to commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
