Responsibilities

  • Design and implement engaging subject-aligned career talks to enhance student understanding of various career paths.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to identify key topics and themes for career discussions that resonate with students' disciplines.
  • Conduct research on current industry trends and job market demands to ensure that the content is relevant and impactful.
  • Facilitate workshops and seminars that encourage students to explore and engage with potential career opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of promotional materials to raise awareness about upcoming career talks and workshops.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of career talks through feedback mechanisms and improve future presentations based on student input.
  • Build relationships with industry professionals to secure guest speakers and workshop facilitators.
  • Maintain an updated database of resources for students, including internships, job postings, and networking opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in career counseling, student development, or a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with career development resources and tools, including resume writing and interview preparation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and industry partners.
  • Passion for helping students achieve their career goals and aspirations.
