Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on regulatory compliance and privacy issues affecting our technology and software products.
• Collaborate with product teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to compliance and privacy matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support compliance initiatives and risk management.
• Develop and implement compliance programs and policies to ensure adherence to legal standards.
• Engage with external legal counsel as necessary to address complex regulatory matters.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to our industry and recommend necessary adjustments to company practices.
• Educate and train staff on compliance and privacy issues to promote a culture of compliance across the organization.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in relevant jurisdictions.
• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in-house or at a law firm focusing on technology and compliance.
• Strong understanding of privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and others.
• Proven ability to interpret complex legal concepts and communicate them effectively to non-legal stakeholders.
• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
