Responsibilities

• Support Department of Defense (DoD) mission systems by providing technical expertise in network engineering.
• Manage and oversee third-party developed cybersecurity tools, ensuring they meet operational requirements.
• Coordinate shipboard installation and testing activities, ensuring that all systems function optimally in compliance with military standards.
• Generate data-driven metrics and reports that inform engineering priorities and facilitate decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot network issues and implement effective solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in networking and cybersecurity technologies to enhance service delivery.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance network performance and security.
• Provide support to training and mentoring junior network engineers and other team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on cybersecurity.
• Experience working with the Department of Defense or in a military environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, security measures, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
