Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Military Sealift Command (MSC) to support engineering and design efforts.
• Manage technical aspects of shipboard engineering requirements, ensuring compliance with military standards.
• Participate in client meetings and project events, requiring occasional travel to Chesapeake or Norfolk, VA.
• Conduct analysis and provide recommendations for electrical systems and components.
• Design and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency and safety.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met in a timely manner.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation.
• Prepare detailed documentation and reports for project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a defense or military setting.
• Strong understanding of shipboard engineering systems and requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
