Responsibilities
- Support Military Sealift Command (MSC) in maritime engineering and design projects.
- Manage structural form, strength, and stability of naval vessels.
- Conduct detailed technical analyses to assure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative design solutions.
- Prepare and review technical documentation and reports.
- Participate in client meetings and briefings, providing expert insights.
- Travel occasionally to Chesapeake or Norfolk, VA for project-related events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in naval architecture or maritime engineering.
- Strong knowledge of maritime design principles and standards.
- Proficient in engineering software and tools relevant to naval architecture.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
