Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Cyber Defense Analyst to join our dynamic team within our global 24/7 security operations center. This position operates on a Wednesday to Saturday 10x4 schedule and is crucial in monitoring and responding to cybersecurity events that impact our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and a passion for protecting data and systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events and alerts from various sources to identify potential threats.
• Respond to security incidents and provide detailed analysis and documentation of events.
• Collaborate with other IT and security teams to implement defensive measures and improve security posture.
• Conduct threat hunting activities to proactively identify vulnerabilities and potential breaches.
• Engage in continuous learning and keep up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
• Assist in the development and refinement of security policies and procedures.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably in a security operations center.
• Strong understanding of security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
• Experience with incident response and forensic analysis.
• Knowledge of current cybersecurity threats and trends.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus.
