Responsibilities

• Design and implement query routing logic for sharded databases, ensuring efficient data retrieval and management.
• Build consensus and replication systems that enhance distributed durability and data integrity.
• Develop materialization pipelines to facilitate migrations and capture data changes effectively.
• Contribute to the connection pooling infrastructure to optimize resource usage and improve system performance.
• Engage with the open-source community to foster collaboration on the Multigres development project, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software engineering, particularly with distributed systems and databases.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Go, Rust, or Java.
• Familiarity with database technologies, particularly Postgres, and concepts like sharding and replication.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience with cloud services and infrastructure is a plus.
