Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls from customers to identify reasons for payment delinquencies.
- Negotiate and provide guidance on the collection of overdue bills.
- Take appropriate actions to recover overdue payments effectively.
- Address and resolve unresolved inquiries and issues related to payments.
- Develop, implement, and maintain organizational policies regarding collection practices.
- Collaborate with outside legal counsel or agencies for complex collection cases.
- Maintain accurate records of communications and actions taken regarding collection efforts.
- Provide excellent customer service while managing sensitive financial information.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in finance or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a collections or financial role.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers.
- Ability to negotiate and handle difficult conversations professionally.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Proficiency in using standard office software and customer management systems.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting performance targets.
